Read a daily recap
A recap is a digest of everything that moved across the workspace, delivered before you open your laptop. It is deliberately not one undifferentiated list, because a single list gets skimmed.
The three categories
- Decisions — what was settled
- Blockers — what is stuck
- Needing you — what will not move without you
Two properties worth knowing
Every line cites the channel, board or record it came from, so a recap is a set of starting points rather than a summary you have to trust.
And a recap is scoped to your access. It never reaches wider than what you could already see, which means two people on the same team get different recaps. That is intended: a digest that ignored permissions would be an accidental disclosure channel.
